Sustainable Development Goals
Looking at the title notation, you immediately thought “I know” and “I'm participating too,” you're probably a wonderful person with an eye on the future.
If you feel uneasy, I would be happy if you could read this sentence to the end.
As an answer to the title, I will quote the following from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.
“The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs: Sustainable Development Goals) were formulated in 2001Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) As a successor, it is an international goal aiming for a sustainable and better world by 2030, described in the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,” which was adopted unanimously by member states at the United Nations summit in 2015/9.
It consists of 17 goals and 169 targets, and they pledge to “leave no one behind (leave no one behind)” on Earth.
The SDGs are universal (universal) that not only developing countries but developed countries themselves are working on, and Japan is also actively working on them.” “SDGs! Don't most people say “I know”?
However, there are 17 initiatives, and there aren't many people who understand them all, right?
The Japan Health and Hygiene Association has issued an SDGs declaration.
If I explain 17 at length here, it will be a very long sentence, so this time I will introduce 17 goals and report on specific activities that the author is consciously working on in the field and in everyday life.
[17 SDGs Goals]
- Let's get rid of poverty
- Zero hunger
- Health and wellbeing for all
- High quality education for all
- Let's achieve gender equality
- Safe water and toilets around the world
- Energy for everyone and clean
- Decent work and economic growth
- Let's create a foundation for industry and technological innovation
- Let's eliminate inequalities between people and countries
- Creating a community where people can continue to live
- Responsibility to create Responsibility to use
- Take concrete measures against climate change
- Let's protect the richness of the ocean
- Let's protect the richness of the land
- Peace and justice for all
- Reach your goals through partnerships
The above is all.
Among these, I work with particular awareness of the goals 6, 12, 14, and 15 in the “hygiene management business” that I am in charge of. Specifically, sewage is generated during floor peeling and cleaning.
It's easy to throw it away in a nearby sink as it is, but there is a facility on site that performs filtration treatment before draining, and we carry it there for treatment.
Other than that, when working in factories, etc. that are not working on Saturdays and Sundays, we avoid using electricity other than the work space, check power supplies and switches in advance, and manage ON/OFF without waste on the day, etc., but we have found what we can do.
In private, when I go out to the beach on my days off, I always put plastic bags in my car, so I pick up the trash I find and go home.
I teach my nephew “treasure hunting” and do cleanup activities in a playful way. I've described 17 goals this time, and by remembering these, I think it will be an opportunity to enjoy every day, saying “I am contributing to this” and “I think I can cooperate with this.”
It makes me feel like I've done a good thing, and I'm enjoying it quite a bit myself.
It's small compared to company-scale and national-scale initiatives, but if everyone does it, I think it will be a huge power that cannot be changed to anything.
Don't you all find out what you can do and feel like you've done something good? (lol)
